Prof. Marya Doerfel served as keynote panelist at the Aspen Engaged Communication Conference on July 25, 2015, discussing how organizations from post-Katrina New Orleans and post-Hurricane Sandy New Jersey/New York to Croatia, Serbia, and Afghanistan leverage their social networks to get back on their feet. Doerfel has published many studies on resilient communities and how, during the rebuilding process, many of the countless decisions that get made are based on who may be in an organization’s social network.
